The Koinonia Community Input (KCI) exists for the purpose of strengthening neighborhoods, assisting in obtaining individual goals in school and empowering people to become engaged members of their community with the belief that people thrive in communities where there is support. Our Mission is to bring hope, alleviate suffering, change lives, and create opportunities. In order to accomplish this, we strive to empower individuals and families by helping them to achieve stability and improve their overall well-being.

Student and Family Support

KCI supports the principle that youth, given the opportunity to acquire critical skills to establish a positive future, will avoid negative behavior by focusing on academic and career goals. A.S.P.I.R.E. (Assisting Students Potential In Realizing Excellence) addresses the issue by working to allow youth to become connected and engaged in activities that provide personal and developmental fulfillment.

KCI provides workshops throughout the year that assist our community in enhancing their well-being and day-to-day living. Workshops included, but not limited to Wills and Probate, Financial Planning, Mortgage Lending Information, and Fraud Awareness. During the holidays, we assist families that have been identified at their local school by providing Holiday meals for them to prepare and gift giveaways.

Senior Fellowship and Assistance

KCI Supports the idea that coordinated supportive services for the elderly helps maintain their physical and mental health and improving their quality of life. This is accomplished through workshops/presentations on preventative health care, therapeutic recreation, musical entertainment, games discussion groups, field trips and art/crafts.

If an aging adult is in crisis and meets our income and residency requirements, we help them with emergency financial assistance for their rent, mortgage, utilities, and food. Through this initiative, we aim to prevent eviction and utility disconnection, ensuring that families can maintain stable housing, access vital utilities and have consumable food.
